Philosophy
Addicted to the Lifestyle Prevention/Early Intervention
Education Safehouse Youth Services is a community based non-profit
organization whose mission is to enhance the spiritual, mental,
social and economic conditions of children, youth and families
through a culturally specific, cognitive-behavioral approach to
prevention/intervention.
Goal
Our goal is to reduce the number of youth who become trapped
in the cycle of delinquency, drugs, and violence.
Prevention/Early Intervention
The prevention/early intervention school based program is
designed to engage students in the following activities;

Multi-centric assessment of social, environmental and
cultural factor that contribute to anti-social behavior in
contemporary adolescents.

Culturally specific reality-based analysis of the influence
of media and music on self-perceptions and behaviors of
contemporary youth.

Multi-centric perspective on the evolution of the thug/drug
lifestyle and its impact on children, youth and families.

Anti-racist analysis of the relation between education and
incarceration.

Culturally specific survival skills.

Legal and social consequences of selling and using drugs
